Under the Willow
praying for another life to begin
By Krystyna KwiatkowskaPublished 8 months ago • 1 min read

Under the Willow,
where her hair blowing in the eastward wind
trails of leaves guiding me toward
the Sun high up in the sky.
Under the Willow,
where I hear the roosters crow
in the west where their coop sits
daring each other in an ego contest.
Under the Willow,
where I’m seated against her bark for rest
dreaming of fae dancing ‘round the limbs
praying for another life to begin.
