i’ve stumbled before—
yep. F-L-A-T. face-first.
dreams splintered,
H-O-P-E misplaced.
but somehow,
somehow
the earth received M-E
so tenderly
i forgot to shatter.
Birds kept singing.
the S-K-Y held steady.
and breath returned
like it knew
i was being S-E-E-N
from
A-B-O-V-E.
there’s this warmth, you know?
not like F-I-R-E—
more like
the hush of a breeze
that says,
you’re not A-L-O-N-E.
you never were.
when people GO,
and doors seal shut,
and the night
gets a little too S-T-I-L-L,
HE—
He remains.
not always loud.
but A-L-W-A-Y-S
there.
and when words fail—
tears S-P-E-A-K.
and He listens.
He really, truly listens.
you know that VERSE?
from the Qur’an?
tiny,
but thunder-strong:
“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” (94:6)
S-O-F-T as a whisper,
S-T-R-O-N-G as a mountain.
and i just smile.
because i’ve known it.
even when i wasn’t seeking.
so if you ask me—
where i live now?
NOT a city.
NOT a house.
just right here—
beneath His mercy,
under His LOVE
and CARE.

This piece reminds me of 1 Corinthians 10:13, which says, "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
