My father's view
The tide flows in and out
Do you also feel the pull of the moon?
~
I was seven
New town, new school, new life
Still without you
~
Then I was ten
New state, new city, new school
Always the outsider
~
I lost count of the years
Lost count of the places
Suddenly, you were there
~
You bandaged my feet
You proudly introduced me as just like you
You understood me
For two short years, you were there
~
New city, new job
A phone call without hope
Maybe you do feel the pull of the moon.
About the Creator
Callie Householder
I have been writing since I learned to write. I didn't believe anything I wrote was enough to share. However, I think now that even if only one person can hear me and feel they are not alone, that is enough.
