Two wolves

Two wolves race in the night
One chasing after the other, they run
Two lovers lost in the moonlight
~
Dew glistening on fur from flight
Backs moving under a blanket of stars
Two wolves race in the night
~
Souls aflame with fire, burning bright
Hearts beating in tall grass, they dance
Two lovers lost in the moonlight
~
Over rolling hills, up mountains height
through deep forests, down valleys depth
Two wolves race in the night
~
Searching for a perfect bedsite
To plant a garden of life, they stray
Two lovers lost in the moonlight
~
With only the sky to witness their sight
In the hours stretching to a yellow sun
Two wolves race in the night
Two lovers lost in the moonlight

Who cares if B lines rhyme, this is an amazing piece. Werewolves sweat if I recall 😅
Exquisitely written!!! Loved it!!!💕❤️❤️
How beautiful! Sweat, though? Wolves don't sweat 😁 I'm choosing to believe this is frost or dew or starlight 😁
Could not resist a Romantic poem. Enjoy this. Great imagery !!!!
Beautiful piece.
As Maria & Tony sing in "West Side Story": "There's a place for us, somewhere a place for us...." You know there hearts are racing in the middle of that dark night.
Nice work and entry Will! 🐺 Wolves are the best! 😁
This one flows nicely, I've been finding the form quite lumpy generally but this one flows.
Oh wow! This was so beautiful! Loved your Villanelle!
Outstanding Will!!!
Well done.
