Two Souls

Flesh Blood and Bone

By Jason FItePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I searched the horizon

For the blue diamonds that shine in your eyes

The skies are weeping

The sun is bleeding

The night whispers your song

Oh beautiful girl,

Who stole your virgin pearl?

Oh innocent girl

A beauty too bright for this world

A tear for your potion

I'd swim seven oceans

To bring you back a rose

I can't give you gold

But I'll give you my soul

It's the best I can do

She said, "How my heart aches

And how it will break

You'll never know

Underneath our dirty sheets

We're just flesh, blood and bone

As I sit here alone by the ocean

I see your eyes as my guiding light

The beacon bringing me home

Your voice in the breeze, warm in my ears

As we dance beneath the the pale moon light

Oh my precious woman

Where have you gone?
