Two Short & Sweet Poems About Earthly Togetherness
Day 10 | 25 Days of Poetry Challenge
“Circle Dance”
When I think of you
I know that I am not alone
I know what joy feels like
I know what skin was meant for
And how breathing really works
I know then,
That the end is just an illusion
And that we are
Forever in
A circle dance.
“I’m with my friends”
To your rhythm - I find myself
In your beat - I hear myself
When you shake - I see, all that shakes in me
And I’m not alone - I’m with my friends
I am at home - I’m with my friends.
These poems are part of a series of 25 daily word experiments I am committing to for the month of October. The motto: “Sometimes garbage, sometimes sweet, not fun everyday, but everyday anyway!” Intrigued to experience what can be created (and discovered) in the process of developing a consistent writing practice, I will be writing a poem a day until my Vocal+ subscription ends at the end of the month. Let’s gooooo!
