A Prayer to Janus

Janus, I stand here with you at this magical portal

Looking both forwards and backwards

At this beautiful convergence of past and present

I am grateful for the pain, anger, and shame that has molded me out of my own cocoon

And cracked my distorted sense of wholeness into a new, earthly being

A being of love

With the power discernment

And the power to dream

Magnificent things.

Today I stand at this very magestic point of existence

And co-create my reality in harmony

And with respect

Of all souls

I send loving energy to these souls

And to the old shell that held my own

In unconditional love I am held

In oneness I am healed

I also stand today

Gifted with your unique perspective

A vision that can hold polarities in stillness

That can follow a journey through the extremes with compassion

I understand balance is not a goal

But a part of the journey

An aspect of life

And that I can find this place of peace

Naturally and effortlessly

When the time is right

I’m seeing both my past and my future

My light and my darkness

Reflected back at me in this portal

Outside of time

I find myself as I am

As I was

And knowing this, I also know I could choose any path forward

I choose ___________.

And I see myself as I am to be
