Imitation

Poem in the style of Emily Dickinson

By flutterfryyyPublished 2 days ago 1 min read

Then my shoes --

Would Overflow with Pearl

It’s led them to me

That sea shell held in their hand

Spilling out beneath us

Is the roughness of the sand

Yolked in the sky

The sun and moon will mourn

And cast their gaze across

My silver figure on the shore
