“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood…” – Robert Frost

Your heart makes my heart

Sing a little song

Your heart makes my heart

Want to sing along

Your voice makes my voice

Ring out a little clearer

Your truth makes my truth

Feel a little nearer

Your depths make my depths

Like standing in the shade

Your soul makes my soul

A little less afraid

Your gaze makes my gaze

Focus on what’s real

Your scars give my scars

Their friendship while they heal

Your heart warms my heart

Like standing in the sun–

My path met your path

In a wood, and now they’re one

So so so pretty, lovely and although I normally hate lovey-dovey poetry, I love this because it's so grounded in real emotion and I just love the sense of completeness as it develops. Just, fantastic, Joelle!

Absolutely stunning and powerful poem! If that's not love I don't know what is. These lines in particular really hit me: Your voice makes my voice Ring out a little clearer Your truth makes my truth Feel a little nearer Those struck a chord in my heart. Beautiful, as always, Joelle!
