Twin Towers: A Tribute of Hope and Memory

Two towers stood proud, reaching for the sky,

A day that felt normal, a day we’d rely.

But then came the moment, as darkness took flight,

With hearts full of evil, they shrouded our light.

From the depths of despair, the wickedness spread,

As fear took its grip, and so many were led.

The stone hearts of those who could cause such great pain,

Left families shattered, forever in vain.

We remember the voices, each story once bright,

The love that was lost in the dark of the night.

We think of the faces, the laughter, the dreams,

A future now paused, or so it now seems.

Yet through all the sorrow, we find strength to stand,

Together, united, we hold each other’s hand.

In moments of darkness, we learned to embrace,

The kindness of strangers, the warmth of a face.

For those we have lost, we honor their name,

Their spirit still lingers, our love stays the same.

Each candle we light is a promise we make,

To cherish their memory and heal from the ache.

In the midst of the pain, hope finds its way through,

With memories cherished, we carry them too.

We rise from the ashes, we build and we grow,

In the heart of our city, the love we all show.

So let us remember, both sorrow and grace,

The strength that we found in the darkest of space.

In our hearts, we gather, with courage as guide,

A tribute to those who we carry inside.

And as we push forward, united we stand,

With love for our country, hand in hand.

Through trials and troubles, through joy and through strife,

God bless America, the home of all hope and life.
