True Story
Shaken In The Wake

I was cruising on my bike down a winding road ~
I was going so fast the wind would start to take hold ~
My front wheel rearing up like an Iron Horse might
And my fins would kick out like a thrashing shark fight!
So I eased it down to a comfortable pace
Because I did NOT want to win that race ~
Then I turned the bend and went around a curve
And then the sky grew dark, and then I had to swerve ~
'Cuz I almost hit a woman that was running towards me!
So I turned on my light because now it was hard to see...
But the road was breaking up, so I slowed it down ~
Traversing over tree roots erupting from the ground!
And then, an old south 'Aunt Jemima' said, 'There ain't nuthin' goin' on"
And I said, 'Hey, No Problem!' and that's when she was gone!
Now the road was straight and narrow, with an old man at the side ~
And that's when I began to wonder about my ride!
As I cruised by him, He Hissed at me!
Then people stalked out of the fields as far as I could see!
On the horizon was a black cloud pulsing with white light
Then as I moved on towards it, these people warned me with delight ~
They spoke of ghosts and spirits that inhabited the wood
And I could see them all at once, but it didn't do no good ~
Because I was no longer riding on my bike at all!
And now the ground had come ALIVE as I began to fall!
And then I heard a loved one cry, 'Hey, wait for me!"
I could not tell who it was cuz now I could not see!
But I could hear their hisses, and I could feel their screams!
Man! I felt like I had died! But... I just had a dream.
