True love walked by me holding another girl’s hand.

How I tried not to stare.

The awful weight I could not bare

So I ran to my bed and slipped into another dream.

True love, how hard it is to give you up.

I don’t know if I’ll find another.

True love, it’s something that I’ll always have

And something that you will never know,

Something that you cannot hold,

And something that I cannot lose,

For, true love, I’ll always remember you.

True love walked by and did not look at me.

Took notice of the girl next to him.

I dared not look at their hands.

For I knew that my heart would only break.
