True Colours

Painting with words

By Bliss ColemanPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Original watercolor painting Bliss Coleman 2021

What if all colors reverberated sound

And the words that left my lips were always profound

I would of found a way around human nature

How can you see the true colors of another

When we are bottled up so closely next to one another

The air is slowly escaping and we are taking advantage of each other

Can’t we just let out all our feelings and true selves

v keeping them segregated and left sitting alone on the self?

People count wealth as beauty

but can you see truly?

As green pours through me,

Transcending in this notion

that every color like is water in the ocean

And is creating apart of the commotion

Let’s move away from this monochromatic life set

And pass onto to a Variegated mindset

Transitions that Glisten in time that dark green that had faded into lime

Limes are like the hands of time and even lemons turn into visceral glee.

Forgive me but,

It’s no wonder ignorance can be becoming

Especially when we can’t understand why we are running

Perhaps purple knows my pain.

And blue knows no bounds to what I can gain

The speckled petals orange and red that read

I loved them, I love them not;

I guess I forgot all the ways the colors trace together and blend within us

Then transcend to teach the next one about us

Trust in the rainbows and truths that realize both the true beauty and pain in your eyes.
