Touch my Heart
Are you there

I no longer search
for the Gem in the sand
My words seem to spur the same
reactions - again and again
How rare, and where hides
The gem that will make my heart sing
At 60 he will not sit in front of a society-molded TV
With dreams that have died
Sounding like every other Tom, Dick, or Harry
He is not a blob with no goals
I want to hear those desires
When I cry help me move toward mine
I want to find a gem in the sand
The gem that will make my heart sing

This feels like an awakening.
I like the change from beginning to end, now wanting to find the gem in the sand again. Very beautiful poem.
Blessedly blissful. If there's anything trickier than Love poems, then it must be fiction. Kudos to you for your courage & thanks for sharing w/ us. To your success.
