Tornado 🌪️

Into the vortex

A thousand shards of glass burst into my face

I see the rain

It is crimson red

Falling upward

I feel a sharp ache in my head

I am flying

I get dizzy

From dancing in the air

I should have worn a wingsuit

Then I could soar

like a bird

or a flying squirrel

~

A flash of light over comes me

hot as blazes

I'm struck down

Lying on my back

I stare up and

I see clouds there

swirling all around

~

3 little birds dance in a circle

right above me

One is blue

With a stripe of black and

speckles on the back

2 is of fire

Its flames follow it as

its wings flap around

The other is a plain yellow

A beak that hooks down and

claws like razor blades

~

My eyes they

can barely stay open

The three little birds merge and

through batting eyes, I

see a rainbow of flames

maybe I could sleep for a little while

my bodies numb and I'm really tired

~

Momentarily, consciousness

above me faces

I won't ever miss

~

~

~

Quiet room

beeping sounds

no one around

And where were you?

Getting high with the neighbor

On crystal clear drugs

while i sleep right beside you

And where were you?

When I couldn't stand

and you walked to fast

looking back and getting mad

And now you

abandoned me for the last time

as you lay to rest

in consecrated ground

8 years since I've seen you

and I'm still bitter now

you've been free from our promise

for about one year now

But I won't go back

I'll follow through

And now when I think of you

A smile

slides onto

my face

*

It's never what you think, is it?

    Stunning work!

  • This all sounds so frightening, yet realistic. You've done a wonderful job.

🌪️Gosh, I love how you keep surprising us. 🐿️I am wondering 🤔 since the shards burst into your face... 🐦The rain... Crimson... 🌪️But not only that — it was falling upwards 😲 🐿️Oh I like that, 'a flying squirrel'. Wait ... 🤔 🐦I could experience the rhythm in this first part. 🌪️Damn. I feel like I was plunged into an accident. Made even more real with those three little birds. Not to mention the clouds swirling all around. 🐿️No 🙂‍↔️ it's never what we think at all. Wow. I'm... I'm speechless. 'You abandoned me for the last time, as you lay to rest in consecrated ground'. 🐦I feel like I was hit by a tree. This was outstanding. It was entertaining. It was shocking. It was deep and it made me feel things on an emotional level. 🤗🖤❤️

You’ve captured trauma, betrayal, and eventual peace with such fierce clarity.

Haunting and powerful — the imagery and emotion hit hard, blending pain and reflection beautifully.
