Stains on silence? Words?

I think that was Beckett,

Letting us know that

Every word comes with a cost;

Not speaking

Can produce its own

Effect.

Fair point to Mr. Spiegelman!

    Very true, that’s why you should always pour your heart on paper or on a screen. We are here to learn from you as well as watch you grow.

    Such power in silence. This reminds me of the word "laconic". Thanks for sharing!

    Love this Kendall, and it should resonate with any writer on here. Words are powerful, and sometimes the absence of them can say just as much as their presence 👏🏾

    Crikey. This one is giving me...thoughts. Thoughts first thing in the morning! How challenging!

    Well-wrought! I would say it depends on the words. We would not say that the works of great painters were unnecessary stains upon the canvas, nor should we say that about our child's drawing of a turkey at school. Even when it doesn't resemble a turkey at all, we still hang it on the fridge with pride! So too with our words!

  • Oooo, that was so profound! Loved it!
