To one colour can we be true?
Are we as simple as a single hue?
There are days when I shine yellow and bright
Times when my soul travels through the darkness of night
I have moments when I welcome change like an orange autumn leaf
But with change comes a darker shade of grief
A diary that’s green filled with my thoughts
But ink stained pages from pens of all sorts
I’ve spent summer months with toes in the sand
My mind free, like the beige running through my hand
I’ve been met by loves first kiss
When my heart was filled with pure pink bliss
Memories made under the setting sun
When the array of colours seem to be dancing with fun
Through this journey I have come to find
There is not one shade we can leave Behind
I am as pink as a petal and as blue as the sea
There is not one colour that can define you or me
