there was a moment, a drop that overflowed the sink,
when I knew our marriage was over.
You click the pen at me while you balance the check book,
sighing loudly and asking what this 12.75 charge was.
We both have 9 to 5s,
and then I come home, cook dinner, and help the kids with their homework.
I am thinking of getting a second job so I can afford to pay for our vacation.
This was the moment between us being married
and then not, when I thought that I might be able to be happier.
