To be loved....

#

By KomalPublished about a year ago 1 min read

To be loved CONSISTENTLY, not ERRACTICALLY.

To be loved like a BREATH, not a SIGH.

To be loved like a PRIORITY, not an OPTION.

To be loved like a SHOUT, not a WHISPER.

To be loved for a LIFETIME, not TEMPORARY.

To be loved as a SOUL, not just a BODY or a FACE.

To be loved with ACTIONS, not with just WORDS.

To be loved with UNDERSTANDING, even in the UNKNOWN

To be loved as a WHOLE, not in FRAGMENTS.

To be loved like a CHOICE, not a FEELING.

To be loved for WHO I AM, not WHAT I CAN.

To be loved in the most GENTLE of ways,

To be loved without FEAR, but with the courage to STAY.

To be APPRECIATED, SEEN, HEARD,

To be loved, and feel love in RETURN.

To be loved the WAY I LOVE.

Well-wrought! Yet to be loved for who we are seems such a rare thing. Yet I wish it to be so for those who seek to experience it.

This is stunning and the funny thing is when it's all clearly written out it's not a lot to ask and most people would find it hard to argue that they didnt want the same! exceptional work, Komal!

This is breathtaking. Every line feels like a heartbeat, raw and full of truth. Your words express such a deep yearning for love in its truest, purest form—steady, courageous, and whole. Truly beautiful and deeply moving.

You know a piece is powerful when a line or many lines made them stop. Makes them forget to breathe because it tugged at something, a memory a feeling, a moment… this line made me react this way: ‘To be loved for WHO I AM, not WHAT I CAN’ and the fact that it sounded like a sentence that needed to be finished…though it’s very nature desired a full stop; deserves a round of applause. Overall this piece has my heart, it held onto my emotions all the way through. 👏🏽🤗♥️👌🏽

A lot of wonderful lines, but “to be loved like a breath, not a sigh” was particularly good

Gorgeously done! So much truth and wisdom here. I especially loved, "To be loved as a SOUL, not just a BODY or a FACE." 🥹💙

This piece is full of powerful, heartfelt reminders of what real, deep love should be—consistent, whole, and rooted in understanding. The contrast between the “sighs” and “shouts” or being loved “for who I am” versus “what I can” hits hard. Love like this feels like a warm embrace—comforting and steady.
