Little hands

with little fingers, drop

stickered cards (into the)

.:slots:. of glittered boxes—

cheerful voices singsong

“L-O-V—”

(forgetting silent-E…)

children know no

bitterness or bigotry—

accept the many shades

(and backgrounds of)

our heart-leafed,

classroom country tree:

everyone is welcomed—loved

with big, wide arms here—

The imagery of children dropping stickered cards into glittered boxes is so vivid and heartwarming. How did you capture the innocence and acceptance of children so beautifully? Your poem truly celebrates the purity of young hearts. Well done!

Really enjoyed this. In just a few weeks, I'll be sitting down with my twin, third-grade boys and we'll be filling out these cards. The only judgement being what kind of candy they taped onto the Valentine :)

Grinning widely here. Yes, this innocence is wonderful. My son still struggles with pronouns. Shows how "learned" they are. Love is love ❤️

Beautiful and uplifting!! They are blank slates that need love and guidance. So glad there are dozens of little minds and hearts that have you as an example each day :)

Children are not aware of bigotry unless they are exposed to it. It's is precious experiencing little ones trying to a t like ground. I am glad kids still like stickers in this day and age
