Timekeeper

Poetry + Photography

Timekeeper

Please,

Tell me how many

hours I have left,

for I know I've wasted many.

Timekeeper

Please,

Tell me how many

minutes I have lost,

for the weight of time is heavy.

Timekeeper

Please,

Tell me how many

seconds I have buried,

locked them away

for they were too hard to carry.

Timekeeper

Please,

please stop the clock.

Grant me more time,

let not the reaper knock.

Time keeper

Please,

pause the hands, make them stop.

Give me minutes to grieve,

all the time that I have lost.
