Time Slips Away

A poem and a beautiful song

Top Story - December 2025

How quickly the best moments,

are now in the past,

you’d think they would last.

In my mind’s eyes I see,

the days that used to be -

funny how time slips away.

Empty rooms now,

nothing to fill the gloom,

but memories bright -

time has flown away.

Wondering how it all happened,

seems just like yesterday,

hearing the laughter

and feeling the love -

yesterday is gone and today feels empty.

Counting the blessings I have,

remembering the days in the past,

trying to put one foot in front of the other -

finding the way to a brighter tomorrow.

The art of living,

is keeping a palette with bright colors,

creating things that keep you smiling,

making life a joy to live,

day by day.

Then as another day,

sails away,

you can listen to the songs of yesteryear,

remember and smile,

knowing you have lived today to the fullest because—

time slips away.
