Time Moves On
It waits for no one

Time Moves On
Time slips by like a breeze,
soft and quiet.
We hold on tight,
but it doesn’t listen,
it just flows away.
We think of moments,
the laughter, the light.
But once they’re gone,
they’re lost,
like shadows in the night.
You can’t rewind,
can’t go back,
no second chances,
no do-overs.
Just keep moving forward,
with open hearts.
Every new day,
a blank page waiting,
full of hope,
full of life.
Embrace what’s here,
let the past fade,
because time keeps moving,
and so must we.

Exactly for we must not dwell on certain things, but with some things it is hard not to. Good job.
"But once they’re gone, they’re lost, like shadows in the night" How very true. A lovely poem, Marie.
