Time Flies..

So, live, being true to self

Time flies

Seconds turn to hours,

days into years.

Babies to adults,

young turn old.

People become memories.

Time is ticking away.

Our lives are finite—

limited springs and sunsets.

So why waste life

in complaining, self-pity,

and holding grudges?

Shouldn't we do

what soothes our souls?

Maybe meaningful talk,

gardening, art,

learning, kindness,

being true to oneself—

while we still have time.

So when the journey ends,

and the final gate opens for us,

we won't feel regret,

muttering "if only I had..."

At times I think we all feel this way from time to time. That is why I am writing now for it is what I have always wanted to do. I have been a teacher and a nurse two jobs I studied for and enjoyed. I have no regrets in what my life is about.
