A Journey of Sensory Experience

In the darkness, my senses come alive,

A world of sensations that few can derive.

My eyes are blind, but my mind takes flight,

As the other senses guide me through the night.

I feel the warmth of the sun on my face,

And the coolness of the rain, in its rightful place.

The touch of a loved one, so familiar and dear,

Each sensation, a message that I can hear.

I hear the melody of the world all around,

From the rustle of leaves, to the city's sound.

The whispers of secrets, and the laughter of friends,

Each sound, a story that my mind comprehends.

I taste the flavors of life's rich tapestry,

From the bitter to sweet, each taste a symphony.

The spice of cinnamon, the freshness of mint,

Each flavor, a memory that I can imprint.

I smell the world, with each breath I take,

The fragrance of flowers, and the smell of fresh-baked cake.

The aroma of coffee, and the scent of the sea,

Each smell, a message that speaks to me.

In the darkness, my senses are my light,

Guiding me through the world, both day and night.

For though I cannot see, I am never alone,

As the senses show me, a world all my own.
