Thoughts to Words
A poem about putting your thoughts into words.
They say poetry is your feelings put into words.
What is that`s hard for one to do?
In my mind I have the words and feelings trapped inside.
But no way to being them out for one to hear.
I could say my love is a rushing river with no end.
I could say I will love you until my last breath.
When I open my mouth or pick up a pen a simple, I love you, is all that will come out.
How do you stop you brain from telling you to shut up?
How do you make it feel what your heart feels so?
It`s hard to put into words what you hear screams, but brain tells you no.
A poem about a puppy or a newborn baby, that`s easy to do.
But a poem about love and life, well that's something new.
As I pick up this pen to let my heart finally speak,
And truly know what my words look like and finally let them see.
