Do you remember the days we laughed?

Do you remember the times we smiled?

The days when we’d lay down on the grass

Looking up at the bright blue sky

Clouds froze like stars scattered all over

And I’d hold your hand for as long as I can

The days when we’d be cuddled up on the couch

Together with blankets over our legs

My head resting against your shoulder

Gazing at the fire before us

I never felt so safe and warm before

The times when we’d cry and scream at each other

When we had enough

But despite it all, I loved you

I remember them all as if it were yesterday

We were together, doing what we wanted

Your personality so sweet and gentle

I’d smile warmly at you while I stared

The days when I’d just enjoy your presence

Because nothing else mattered in that moment

And what wouldn’t I give in the world

To go back to those days again.
