This Tree

Growing old

By Marie381Uk Published 6 years ago 1 min read

The tree stood years witnessing everyday life

Snowfall, rain, wind and thunderstorms, heat

Surviving year after year growing old and strong

Growing in a town of poverty and pain witnessing death

This tree has seen the afterlife and spiritual love, birth

It has witnessed laughter, romance and sorrow, love, pain

It grew old, it is old, it is knowledgeable and strong

A gift from above so birds may nest and multiply in camouflage

This tree survived life's cruelest test, War, lightening, shock, pain

This tree is living, feeling, it is beautifuly rooted in Earth

Leaves turn green with summers breath so fresh. Delightful

Snow and ice, sharp winds like a knife. Leaves brown falling

This tree is alive, This tree is standing erectted proud, calling

Hello world, This tree admired from the passing crowds with love

This tree is part of the universal love like you and Me eternal
