This Is A Mutiny.
Inspiration Struck Me Whilst Listening To Kaleo - Way Down We Go
This is a mutiny
To the thoughts in my mind
That won’t let me be defined.
*
This is a riot
Lettin’ loose.
*
A war that
I refuse
To lose.
*
I’m a boxer in the ring
Ready to take the sting.
A face to face; my demons
I’ll stand and confront -
*
There’s no more hiding
Not anymore.
I wouldn’t dream -
No more.
*
This is a mutiny
To the thoughts in my mind
That won’t let me be defined.
*
This is a riot
Lettin’ loose.
*
A war that
I refuse
To lose.
*
This is a BIG FAT F U
To the man upstairs watching
from the pearly gates.
Who gave me everything
I’ve come to hate.

I got the urge to write when this song came on during a TV show. Actually there’s been a few different songs played on this show that have sparked something in me but this song played and I just had to write. I wouldn’t necessarily say the words or meaning of this piece I wrote match the song itself. I think it’s more just...I guess the melody or something about the song the way it made me feel personally is what inspired me to sit and write this.
