Thirst
My thirty-fourth dark poem in the series inspired by Dharrsheena.

This is my thirty-fourth dark poem in the series inspired by Dharrsheena, a more subdued than my usual offerings.
The music I have chosen is "Water" by Frankie Laine.

Water, Water Everywhere
And There Is Not A Drop To Drink
These Lines Now Come to Haunt You Here
Your Spirits Are Starting To Sink
๐ค๐๐ค
In A Boat, A Blazing Sun
Becalmed, And You Are Lost At Sea
Your Throat And Skin Now Start To Burn
On Fire Inside, You Want To Scream

You Canโt As Your Throat Now Constricts
Coughing Up Blood, And Feeling Sick
Life Is Fading On Dark Water
Helpless Carcass, Ripe For Slaughter

Vicious Beaks Are Tearing Your Flesh
Carrion Now, A Bloody Mess

Good one.
Oooo, love the vicious beaks tearing the flesh! You never fail to entertain me with your dark poems! You're absolutely fantastic!
Hauntingly glorious - great job!
Creatively disjointed yet seamlessly flows.
Vivid and powerful -- Coleridge would've concurred.
