Like a gentle wind on a soft summer's day,
A pleasing story whispers to your aching soul
Love me, it childishly pleads to you
Inhale me, exhale me
Reach out and capture me, quickly do
For words hug you just for a fleeting moment
Then flits away to the next eager mind awaiting
For many are we, who have need of a caring touch
Write the words upon your canvas...do it anon
Quite soon, please do
Lest the joy of the moment gets lost to time
Leaving you wondering why, oh why
Can you not remember, the words once written
So fleetingly upon your fragile and tender heart!
