Lie on a couch

pour it all out

one, two, many feelings.

they give you a pill

say ‘you can choose to chill,

or maybe you just need Jesus’.

'Maybe working out

can get the cobwebs out’

curing loneliness for one twenty five a session.

Tell you to write

Tell you to sleep more at night

tell you to focus on every blessin’.

Maybe I’m not broken,

I just see the darkness here,

and what I fear,

is I can’t share enough light

to find others who also burn inside,

so together, we can keep love’s fires alive.
