"Night Windows" by Edward Hopper, 1928
Voyeurism proliferates today
Watching, streaming, looking: these delight us
The looker can be looked at; what dismay!
‘Tis mete then, this dilemma to discuss

For from within the grim panopticon
We can feel smug and safe from others’ gaze;
You bend before the night, with your light on
And looking on, my eye instinct obeys

Who is revealed in this case, thee or me?
‘twould seem ‘tis me, for you are innocent:
Unwitting, you have made the creep privy
To your soft contours; nothing prurient

Onlookers are revealed as they look on
Night windows ought to have their curtains drawn

Ewww, this was both so gross and creepy! So well done!
Ooh, the creep places the blame on the watched. Icky. Good poem.
