We really must stop being so afraid
Cowardice creates deep paralysis;
Strong and decisive moves must now be made
No time remains for slow analysis
Petrified by the gorgon of offense
We prefer to say nothing; think nothing
Against real threats, what will be our defense?
Anxious equivocation is numbing
Courage feels, but conquers, fear of strangers
For the mundane, maintain your preference
What is familiar entails no danger
Be skeptical of novel, odd difference
Of prudence and caution, always be full
Only the rash fool is never fearful

You have rhyme in here as well as the inverse idea, and I like that ending line “Only the rash fool is never fearful”. Good luck in the challenge😊
wow excellent poet
Whoaaaa, you executed this sooooo brilliantly! It reads so profoundly both forwards and backwards! Well done!
Ooooo! Is the image portraying the scale balancing our cowardice and courage? If so, I like how you give that visual to go with your poetic words. Nice touch, and you created a very impactful sonnet. :)
