The Weight of My Own Wings

Learning to Fly, Despite the Weight

By The Content CrafterPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

I’ve always wanted to soar above the sky,

To spread my wings and learn to fly.

But with every flap, I felt the weight,

Of all the things I couldn’t shake.

My wings were heavy, full of doubt,

Of broken dreams and voices that shout.

They told me I couldn’t, they said I’d fall,

But still, I dreamed, despite it all.

There were days when the sky felt too high,

When I wished I could learn to say goodbye,

To the fears that held me, the chains that bind,

To the scars that I kept hidden behind.

But every weight that tried to pull me down,

Became the strength that I found on the ground.

I learned to rise, even when it hurt,

To fight through the wind, to conquer the dirt.

And now, I fly with wings that are mine,

Heavy with memories, but still, they shine.

The weight once felt like a burden to bear,

But now it’s the power that takes me there.

So, when you see me soaring high,

Know that the weight beneath my wings helps me fly.
