It has come to my attention
That our calm exterior
Tempts the minions
And though they see the fire
Above us
Around us
They are not perturbed
The cloud too beautiful
Confuses their judgement
To respect her or to run
So let it be known
Every hour
Our army will rise
Practice makes perfect
And with God on our side
Our victory
Is assured.

Beautiful piece. I love that this person is both feared and respected in her position but turns to both her army and God for support.
I like how the beginning gently beckons our attention. It is the expectation that a calm exterior, promotes more calm in the other. But for it to tempt the minions. It brings questions and intrigue. I like the direction this went. Leaving them confused, not knowing whether to respect her or run. 'Victory is assured indeed' I like the power of this poem. The call for protection and the self awareness and growth. Fantastic work as always Cathy 🤗❤️
