The Wanderer Within
I walk a path, both bright and dim,
A winding road carved deep within.
The stars above, the earth below,
A restless heart longs to know:
Who am I beneath this skin,
This fragile shell that holds within
A storm of thoughts, a spark, a flame,
Seeking meaning in a whispered name.
My purpose hides, a shadow's dance,
Elusive as a fleeting chance.
Do I create, destroy, or heal?
What is the truth my soul must feel?
I’ve searched the hills, the endless skies,
In strangers' words, in lovers' eyes.
I’ve chased the dawn, embraced the night,
Yet still, I seek my guiding light.
But peace, it seems, is not a place,
Not something found in time or space.
It blooms within when I let go,
Of all I fear, of all I know.
So here I stand, both lost and free,
A work of art, unfinished, incomplete.
And maybe, just maybe, that’s the key—
To love the search, to simply be.
