Everything has value.- Michelle Liew

******************************************

They called him plain, boring stone

No striking marks, he tends to drone

"Useless rock," the scuptor laughed.

"Nothing to do, I've had enough."

******************************************

Yet winds did blow, the earth did shake

His statues fell, their forms did break

Marble shattered, and gold dimmed,

And through it all, no one saw him.

******************************************

When all was lost in stone and dust

He stood unhurt, still whole--and blessed

Those who mocked now understood,

His strength lay not with what looked good,

******************************************

It was in his wholeness, undying, pure,

Not carved by hands, made to endure.
