“The Unknown Wave”

Never knowing,
One did not recognize,
What laid at the door?
Scared of the feelings within,
Stay and learn, run and hide,
A fight for what’s right.
Who’s to say,
What’s the best thing is this day?
Running from life,
Hiding from the gift offered,
Without a warning,
Stay and enjoy,
Accepting the gift offered.
It was never a thought to hurt,
Just to protect the heart and soul
Because of the unknown.
A flood of joy and pain,
A rush of excitement,
Never known, never experienced.
Stay and learn
Riding the ups and downs,
Embracing the unknown
Damn what a life
Coming with the gift
Offered without a thought.
