The Unknown

Anhedonia

By Kaloriinn MasonPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Oh where hath the stars gone

That shone the night on high

And whence has the moon run

from barren sky

when did all the flowers grey

and wilt from bloom

how did I find

this empty world of gloom

for soothe I ask the wind

the voice I no longer hear

feelings and thoughts

once felt so very near

silence ever ringing in my ear

this cold it bites so very deep

in lands where compassions

once burned like solar keep

it chills my core

I feel old weary and sore

myself, slowly becoming forgotten lore

as this demon devours

memories of before

the depression ebbs

anhedonia flows

it blossoms here

where nothing grows

this land myself

this place

this being

that no one knows
