The Ultimate Sacrifice
When greed meets its final deadline

"The clock strikes twelve."
"Your time has come due."
"Can't we negotiate? I've more to accrue."
"Mortal, your greed never ceases to grow."
"One more year, please. I'll put on a show."
"Your theatrics bore me, your pleas fall flat."
"I'll double my worth, how about that?"
"Money means nothing where you're bound to go."
"Then take my memories, leave me hollow."
"Your past is the price you've already paid."
"My future then? All plans I've made?"
"You bartered that long ago, don't you know?"
"My talents, my skills, my hard-earned trade?"
"Those gifts were mine, merely on loan."
"What's left of me that's mine to own?"
"Nothing but choices, and those you've betrayed."
"I see now the trap, the game you've played."
"No game, just contract - signed and sealed."
"Is there no clause, no fine print concealed?"
"Your hope is admirable if misplaced."
"Then let me bargain for one last grace."
"Speak quickly, the sands of time deplete."
"My soul for theirs - my family, sweet."
"Now that's an offer worthy of heed."
"You'll spare them? They'll be truly freed?"
"I'll grant them life, long and complete."
"Then take me now, my fate I'll meet."
"Noble at last when all is lost."
"I've learned too late the true cost."
"A lesson earned is a lesson learned."
"In hell's fire, may it be unburned."
"Time's up, mortal. Our deal is done."
"I go now, where there is no sun."
"But your sacrifice won't be in vain."
"In their freedom, I'll bear this pain."
"How touching. Now, let's have some fun."
