The Tongue has no bones but it can hurt
Be careful it’s a powerful tool

The Tongue has no bones but it can hurt
The tongue has no bones, yet it cuts so deep,
A whisper can wake, a word can make weep.
A careless remark, a sentence unkind,
Can shatter a heart, leave sorrow behind.
Like fire, it burns; like ice, it can chill,
It wounds without touch, yet can also heal.
A harsh word may linger, a scar left unseen,
A moment of anger, a lifetime between.
But softer its power, when spoken with grace,
It lifts up the weary, brings light to a face.
A word full of kindness, a phrase filled with cheer,
Can mend what was broken, erase doubt and fear.
So speak with intention, let love guide your voice,
In a world full of echoes, make kindness your choice.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

Nice work! You displayed the truth about the tongue. I enjoyed reading your poem.
“tongue has no bones, yet it cuts so deep” So profound, and the ending, chef’s kiss!💗
