The Thunder God Is Angry Today
A Terza Rima poem
[Author's note: Terza Rima poetry is Italian. It consists of tercets, that follow a chain rhyme in which the second line of each stanza rhymes with the first and last line of the subsequent stanza. It ends with a couplet rhyming with the middle line of the penultimate stanza. The pattern is ABA BCB CDC DED EE.]
*****
The thunder god is angry today,
Warning everyone in sight,
You can hear him grumbling and rumbling away,
*****
There’s going to be a big storm tonight.
And Mr sun speaks up to say,
From behind the shroud of black and grey,
*****
“Hey Thunder god what wrong with you today?”
“Shut up!” was his angry reply,
You have been out and sunny all day.
*****
"I have had to keep quiet with no reply,
While everyone romps and are out to play,
Now is my time to speak up today."
*****
"So you just keep quite till another day
It’s my time that you won’t deny."
*****
Till next time,
Calvin

This poem is such a fun play! You absolutely crushed the rhyme... ❤ Sir, I want some suggestions from you about books... Can you tell me the one book you think helped you a lot and I should read as well...? Although, I've just ordered these books; let me know if you've read any of these and which I should read first: The Alchemist, The kite runner, You are a badass, How to break up with your phone, Think and grow rich, Nineteen steps...
