The Teacher's Resolve
A Huitian Poem on Fresh Starts
This is for Mikeydred’s January Prompt.
Shift happens with fresh starts. - Michelle Liew

The students wait, their faces pale, forlorn,
Their desks half cleared, the fateful past still stands
Their weary souls feel hollow, bruises and torn-
What good had come from all they made with hands?
****************************************************************
A box turns up, with past thoughts kept with care.
Each torn paper, a seed they'd watered, sown
A flame ignites, - a new dawn, they broach with dare
They leave the room, to spread the seeds, now grown.

It’s so hard to start again. A great teacher can make all the difference.
Thought I had commented on this excellent poem. I have now
I'll think of this when I'm picking up all the bits of paper they threw around
Such a cool take on fresh starts! The students are leaving behind their past struggles, and with their teacher’s support, they’re off to plant new seeds for the future. Love how the box of memories turns into a symbol for growth and new beginnings!💕
