the sun still rises
Kenny's Haikuplet Challenge
By Kelsey ClareyPublished about a year ago • 1 min read
Sun does not seem right,
when my heart's a raging storm,
churning a great sea.
But still, it rises,
while the world keeps on turning,
and I must rise too.

SO good! 🩷 love that concept of the sun not feeling right when there's something wrong with our heart ... as if nature itself knows our pain.
Nicely done. I agree when you are feeling down you sort of expect the sun not to shine to reflect your feelings. For me its an encouragement if the day does not reflect my feelings.
Beautifully written 🤩… I’’ have to check his challenge out😊
Raw, honest and yet still determined and hopeful! Well done, Kelsey!
This is a wonderfully expressed Haikuplet that feels sad to me. I loved the way you linked the rising sun with moving on, poetic and beautiful. Very nice, Kelsey!
Some great words. As I look out my window there are black clouds and bright sun. High temperatures and thunderstorms are forecast.
Great philosophical haiku, Kelsey!
