The Summer I Adore

...is You.

I drag you across my pale turning tan

skin, scorched by rays radiating from your

body, synonymous with warmth and I

need you as I miss you but that is all...

When do I get to bask in the glory?

The personification of Summer

the embodiment of sunshine, I crave

this feeling all Winter into Spring time,

until I Fall, skip your season again...

Why are we like this? Sand slipping through toes

like time in an hourglass, like your hand

in mine, sunbeams through fingers that do not

grip as tightly as they possibly can;

The only Summer I adore is you.

About the Creator

Ryan Sam Fong

I like to create, and when my motivation and attention meet, cool things can sometimes happen. Its not perfect, its pretty messy and sometimes won't make sense, but as long as its out there maybe I won't lose or forget it.
