The Story of Love After Dark
A lasting love from one small spark

The Story of Love After Dark
It started with eyes that lingered too long,
A slow-burning look, a magnetic song.
No need for words, no sweet disguise.
Just tension thick and quiet sighs.
Fingers brushed in a crowded space,
A pulse that quickened, a flushed face.
She leaned in close, he didn’t retreat,
Their silence louder than any heartbeat.
Love wasn’t soft, it came in heat,
In tangled sheets and tangled speech.
Lips like fire, skin like flame,
Neither one quite the same.
In shadows deep, they found their place,
Exploring curves with tender grace.
Whispers echoed, breaths entwined,
Bodies speaking, souls aligned.
It wasn’t perfect, neat, or clean,
it was wild, and it was oh so keen.
And in that madness, they both found
A love that shook the world around.

You have described the first encounter with such delicacy and passion.
Very interesting poem and can not be cool, feel too hot
You need to write a poetry collection of all your poems, and I bet it would make a great hardback book. Good job.

oh this has a magic, an urgency to it! well done, Marie!
