The Storm Darragh
The winds where so frightening

The Storm Darragh
Darragh roars through the night, winds fierce and cold,
Branches snap and sway, a story unfolds.
Cars are trapped in mud, as panic takes flight,
With three million told to stay safe through the night.
Heavy rains blanket the streets, a rush and a roar,
The sea swells high, crashing against the shore.
Windows rattle and shake, as darkness takes hold,
Heartbeats grow louder, anxiety unfolds.
Power flickers out, shadows creep near,
In the grip of the storm, all is wrapped in fear.
The night stretches on, filled with dread and despair,
As we bear witness to chaos, caught in its snare.
Winds howl at 94 mph, a sign of changing times,
A world that feels fragile, where hope seems to fade,
As nature’s fierce warnings echo, unafraid.
In this heavy moment, we seek to withstand,
Weathering the storm, with no help at hand.
Yet in the depths of the night, a flicker of light,
The dawn will awaken, bringing courage to fight.
For storms may encircle, but we stand our ground,
Together in shadows, our strength can be found.
So let the winds howl, let the rain fall and weep,
For when the sun rises, we'll rise from the deep.
In the heart of the struggle, resilience will bloom,
And we’ll face each new day, dispelling the gloom.
