The Snake Woman
Sly and wicked but men loved her

The Snake Woman
There was a woman, she was a snake,
With a heart so cold, and a smile fake.
She slithered through life, deceit in her wake,
Jealous and wicked, that was her fate.
She caught a kind man in her wicked lure,
Promised him love, but her heart was unsure.
With words like silk, she spun her cruel game,
Leaving hearts shattered, igniting his shame.
When another drew near, she felt the sting,
Her jealousy twisted, it made her heart sing.
With poison-tipped whispers, she forged her dark lies,
Turning love into anguish beneath her sly guise.
The man, once trusting, grew lost in her snare,
Blinded by charm, unaware of her glare.
Yet truth always rises, it cannot be slain,
And soon he would see the true depths of her pain.
In the end, she was left with no one to hold,
A snake in the garden, her heart turned to cold.
A tale without joy, where love turned to ash,
For wickedness thrives, but true love won't last.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
