The Skeptic

~ A Poem

Why should I read your tale?

Whatever shall I discover?

A life I haven't lived.

Impossible!

Travel to new lands,

But why?

I am content,

Within these walls!

New faces and ideas

From history to fantasy

Whatever can I learn

Or enjoy

I dare say

That cover is intriguing,

Perhaps a moment or two

Within your pages

What has transpired?

I have been bewitched

By the words

Between the pages

I can't go on alone

No longer

May I have another

To entertain my senses
